Compassionate Service Through the Generations
In 1946, after returning from World War II, C.J. "Gus" Dusckas established Dusckas Funeral Home on Erie's East Side at 2607 Buffalo Road. His unwavering attention to detail and genuine compassion set a new standard for funeral services in Erie, a legacy that has endured for over 60 years. In 1978, Gus expanded his services to Downtown Erie with the acquisition of the Melzer Funeral Home at 536 West 10th Street.
Today, his legacy lives on through the dedicated service of his daughter, Nancy Dusckas. For more than 30 years, Nancy has continued to build upon the Dusckas family reputation of excellence within the Erie community. Alongside John E. "Jack" Martin, they have extended the Dusckas tradition to Erie's West Side and Millcreek Township with the opening of Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, Inc., a modern, state-of-the-art facility in beautiful Harborcreek Township.
As the next generation continues to write the Dusckas story, the funeral home remains committed to its founding principles. Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, Inc. stands ready to provide the same compassionate guidance and dedication that have been the hallmarks of Dusckas service for decades.
Our directors and staff are deeply committed to upholding this heritage of compassionate care. We take pride in offering families the same honesty, sincerity, and understanding that have defined the Dusckas tradition, ensuring future generations can rely on us for every level of support and care that human hands can provide.
