William M. Englehart Sr

William M. Englehart, Sr., age 88, of Kane, PA, passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2017 at home. He was born in New Cumberland, WV on March 26, 1929, son of the late Harry and Mary Yorko Englehart.

Bill served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War, where he was a P.O. W. for three years. During his time in the Army, he received a Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Purple Heart. He worked at Hammermill as a press operator.

Bill is survived by his wife, Caroline Froberg Englehart; one son, William Englehart, Jr.; one stepson, Bob Reinard of VA, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Volski Englehart; and brother, Fritz Englehart.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at noon at St. James R.C. Church. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.
