Vlear L. Skisuski Iii Obituary (1982 - 2023)

Vlear L. Skisuski III, age 41 of Erie, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born in Erie on July 30, 1982. Vlear was a graduate of Central High. He then enlisted in the US Navy serving as Master of Arms. During his time in the service, he served overseas where he received many accommodations. He was a two time combat veteran. Vlear attended Mitchell College where he graduated Magna Cum Lade with a degree in Criminal Justice. He later worked at the Erie VAMC as a Police Officer. Vlear was an active member of the American Legion Post 773 and the VFW Post 4789. Vlear is survived by his mother, Mary F. Skisuski Deaner (Kevin Deaner); his wife, Amber Skisuski; four children, Kaley, Joslin, Cash, and Noah; one brother, Matthew J. Skisuski; friends, Alex, Kristen, and Julia and many others; and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Vlear L. Skisuski, Jr.; grandparents, Vlear L. and Nellie Skisuski, Raymond R. Bolla and Marion Dearborn. At the family's request, private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dusckas Funeral Home to help defray expenses, or to the St. Luke Food Bank in honor of Vlear's memory.
