Theresa Ann (Santor) Feyas Obituary (1933 - 2022)

Theresa Ann Santor Feyas, age 88, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. She was born in Erie on September 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Edward S. and Sabina R. (Podbielski) Santor. Theresa attended St. Hedwig Grade School and was a 1950 graduate of St. Benedict Academy. She was previously employed in the Treasurer's Office at Erie City Hall, and as parish secretary at St. Paul's RC Church. As a devout Catholic, Theresa was a founding member of Mount Calvary RC Church, where she served as an altar aid and Eucharistic Minister. She was currently a member of St. Stanislaus RC Church. In years past, she served as a Cub Scouts den mother and Campfire Girls leader. She also served as a volunteer for the VNA Hospice and the Erie County Library bookstore. Theresa loved working crossword puzzles, and she had a tender heart for animal welfare in general and for her own pets, especially caring for cats. Theresa is survived by three children: Kevin J. Feyas, Keith A. Feyas, and Maryanne Mulligan (John E.); six grandchildren: Zachery, Alan and Amanda Mulligan, and Justin, Andrew, and Harley; one brother, Rev. John Santor; several great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Albert Feyas, Jr., and one sister, Rita Sulecki. "It was a wonderful party. I'm so glad I came. Thanks for having me! (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.), on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM and are further invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 AM at Mount Calvary RC Church, conducted by Rev. Msgr. Daniel Magraw. Theresa will be privately laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Center or Emmaus Soup Kitchen.
