Tanner James Rodgers, age 22, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on May 30, 1996, the son of Tammy Jo McFadden Rodgers-Bartolik and David A. Rodgers.
Tanner was a student at Edinboro University, majoring in social work. He enjoyed playing video games and was a Green Bay Packers fan, like his dad. Tanner will be remembered for his warm, all-encompassing hugs, his devilish grin, and his friendship and loyalty to those who loved him. He had the most horrible and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor, but never failed to bring a smile to everyone's face. "Tanner, you never let your mom down and you were always good enough. You were loved more than you ever knew."
In addition to his parents, Tanner is survived by his stepfather, Janusz Bartolik; his stepmother, Maggie Rodgers; his two sisters, Tiffany M. Keith (Nicholas), and Kristen E. Rodgers; his maternal grandfather, Richard McFadden; his paternal grandmother, Mary Gerard; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dolores McFadden.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
