Sylvia Murine Hunsberger Smathers Estes Obituary (1934 - 2023)

Sylvia Murine Hunsberger Smathers Estes, age 88, of Summit Twp, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born in Clarion, PA on August 3, 1934 to George Hunsberger and Mary Siverling Hunsberger. She is survived by Susan Smathers (wife of Ernest R. Smathers, Jr.), S. Lynn Wilson (Mark A.), Terry C. Smathers (Peggy), Tina Marie F. DeSantis, Cliff E. Smathers (Gracie), DeLora J. Parker, Melissa M. Smathers and Bambi E. Smathers. She is also survived by numerous beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by thirteen beloved siblings; her husband, Ernest R. Smathers, Sr.; her husband, Harry Estes; her son, Ernest R. Smathers, Jr.; her daughter, Brenda S. Brooks; and two grandchildren, Michael A. DeSantis and Levi E. Procter. Family and friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday, January 26th, from 3 to 7 pm. Further visitation will be held on Friday, January 27th at Harborcreek Baptist Church, 4719 Buffalo Rd., from 10 am until the time of the time of the Funeral Service there at 11 am conducted by Pastor David Roach.
