Salvatore M. Allessie Obituary (1938 - 2016)

Salvatore M. Allessie, age 78, of Wesleyville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016. He was born in Erie on April 24, 1938, son of the late Michael and Florence Allessie. Sal was a long presence in Wesleyville, where he worked at Tarzan's Barbershop for 50 years. He was the owner of the barbershop since 1986. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Rams and he was known for his great wealth of knowledge of all sports. Sal loved family gatherings and shooting pool at the Legion. He was famous for his rigs and his sauce. Sal is survived by three children, Paul Allessie (Karen), Kimberly Stanko, and Patrick Allessie; brother, Joseph Allessie (Rita); former wife and long-time companion, Helen Allessie; four grandchildren, Brandie, Samantha, Matthew, and Breanna; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trenton, Teven and Emmett; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lauralee Allessie and one son, Michael Allessie. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday at 10 am conducted by Rev.
