Roger Lewis Bray

Roger Lewis Bray, age 75, of Harborcreek Twp., peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Master on Friday, October 8, 2021, while in the company of his beloved family. He was born in Westfield, NY on December 2, 1945, son of the late Lewis and Maxine "Eva" (Barber) Bray.
Roger was a graduate of Harbor Creek High School. At age 20, he enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard and honorably served for four years. He was employed by the General Electric Co. for 37 years prior to his retirement in 2008 and was a member of the U.E. Local #506.
Roger was a man of deep Christian faith and used his God-given gifts to enrich the environment at his church that he loved so dearly, the Praise Cathedral Church of God in North East. Upon retirement, he took on the responsibility of heading up church maintenance services and could be reliably counted on to be the resident handyman. In addition, Roger had also previously served as a Deacon.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol A. (Bowen) Bray; three children: Stacy Crosby (Tim), Ann Merritt, and Lynn Brewer; two stepchildren: Melissa Carlson and Christopher Carlson; four grandchildren: Brianna Merritt, Brandon Merritt, Matthew Crosby, and Timothy Carlson; one brother, Michael Bray (Beth); one sister, Linda Lindquist (Arnie); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a celebration of Roger's life on Saturday, October 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Praise Cathedral with Pastor Michael Grove officiating. Memorial contributions may be designated to Praise Cathedral Church of God, 5335 Route 89, North East, PA 16428. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Harborcreek.
