Paul Joseph Hess

Paul Joseph Hess, age 50, of Erie, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his home following a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on May 22, 1967, son of Karen Yakoweloff (John) and David Hess (Sharon).

Paul worked for Time Warner Cable as a warehouse manager and was a PIAA basketball official. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Paul was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching and playing various sports, including football, basketball, softball and golf. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his wife, Christine Millimaci Hess; daughters, Cassandra Eller (Michael) and Stephanie Hess (Eric Wisniewski); sisters, Jennifer Mitchell (Larry) and Shelly Sweet (Terry); brothers, James Babo (Lisa), Matthew Babo, Joseph Yakoweloff and David Hess; and grandchildren, Lucas Eller and Lydia Eller. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Catherine Hager; his uncle, Joseph Hager, and nephew, Christopher Sleeper.

Paul's family would like to send a special thank you to the Regional Home Health Hospice nurses, especially Tracie.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10 am with Deacon James Kaschalk officiating. Interment will take place at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
