Patricia Ann Cook

–

Erie, PA

Patricia Ann (Asel) Cook, 88, of Harborcreek, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was born on March 17, 1933, in Oil City, PA, the daughter of the late John S. and Florence M. (Zimmerman) Asel.

Patricia enjoyed spending time at camp with her family around a big bonfire. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and knitting, along with many other hobbies, such as people-watching, cloud, and stargazing. She longed for sun-filled vacations at the ocean, including the Bahamas and Jamaica, enjoying the warmth and sunshine with family and friends. Pat also never outgrew her love of jellybeans and a bowl of great macaroni and cheese. She also loved to crack jokes and have a good laugh. Patricia was truly a "Jackette" of all trades. Her most amazing accomplishment was raising her three children. She also worked as a cake decorator at Super Duper, then as an aide at Saint Vincent Hospital, now AHN.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, US Army Veteran, Richard G. Cook; two older sisters: Irene Reed and Ilene Shreffler; and two younger brothers: Jack and Lee Asel. She will for sure be greeted by many loved ones at the Gates of Heaven.

Pat is survived by three children: Roxanne M. Cook, Kimberly (Ernest) Marzka, and Shawn (Carol) Cook; four grandchildren: Jason (Rachel) Gibbs, Jessica (Robert) Fitzpatrick, Bradley (Hilary) Cook, and Tyler (Kaylee) Cook; four great-grandchildren: Adisson, Grayson, Alexa, and Zacary; and two sisters-in-law: Patsy Wagner and Charlotte Asel.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the DUSCKAS-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Patricia will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of the family at North East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association of Erie, or Family Hospice of UPMC.
