Norma Whaley

With heavy hearts, we announce that Norma Jean Whaley, age 94, of Harborcreek, daughter of Kenneth and Myrtle Weigel, passed away peacefully at Brevillier Village on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2026.

Norma was a proud graduate of Academy High School and later served as an integral part of the Klein Elementary School staff for many years. She had a soft spot for beagles, country music, craft shows, and garage sales. Norma brought love and compassion to everyone around her and will be remembered fondly for her impact on the world.

Norma was a devoted mother to Todd Whaley and Julie Newcome (Trent); and stepmother to Geoff and Greg Whaley. She cherished her grandchildren. Miranda Whaley, Harleigh Foster, Amber Wodarski, Leigh Ann Hinterberger, Rainna Byrd, Megan Whaley and Jake Whaley.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Whaley; her mother and father; her brothers, Edwin, Art, Ken, and Don; and her sisters, Gwen and Joanie.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Saturday, September 26th, from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm. A graveside service for the family will follow at North East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
