Nancy L (Uglow) Jobczynski Obituary (1939 - 2021)

Nancy L. Jobczynski, age 81, of North East, formerly of Bradenton, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021. She was born in Erie on October 10, 1939, daughter of the late Gerald and Margaret (Phillips) Uglow. Nancy was a 1957 graduate of East High School. She was previously employed as a secretary at Iroquois High School, a radio dispatcher for the North East Police Department, and as a 911 dispatcher with the County of Erie. She resided in North East for most of her life, enjoying retirement in Bradenton, FL. She recently returned to North East and resided with her family. Always a woman of deep faith, Nancy was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in North East and St. George's Episcopal Church in Bradenton, FL. Nancy always looked forward to visits with her close friends, whether it be at Ricardo's Restaurant or her fun in the sun cruises. She cherished her role as a grandmother, loving known as Gramma Nancy to her grandchildren and GiGi to her great grandchildren. They were the loves of her life. Nancy is survived by three children: Beth DeWitt, James (Jay) Jobczynski (Sally), and Gerald (Jerry) Jobczynski (Kim); eight grandchildren: Devin Zolotovskiy (Dmitriy), Dana Plowman (Brandon), Jimmy, Jake, Jon Jobczynski, Jazmyn Jobczynski, Seri and Shane; five great-grandchildren: Adeline, Brayden, Braxton, Branton, and Blakely; and a dear friend, Bill Turner. Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Saturday, June 12th from 1pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 3pm, officiated by Reverend Carol Carlson. Nancy will be laid to rest privately at Erie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated to the charity of one's choice.
