Nancilou Zurn George Obituary (1957 - 2019)

Nancilou Zurn George, age 61, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 15, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on July 24, 1957, daughter of Betty Frost Zurn and the late Robert T. Zurn, Sr. Nanci's favorite place to be was Lake Chautauqua where she spent countless hours with friends and family and especially enjoyed boating. She loved doing crafts, making beautiful handmade cards. Nanci worked at Niagara Village until her retirement. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elmer H. and Nancy C. Frost; her paternal grandparents, William A. Zurn Sr. and Emma Louise Leibrock Zurn; and one brother, James D. "Moose" Zurn. In addition to her mother, Nanci is survived by her husband of 38 years, David J. George; two children, Megan E. King (Danial) and Andrew R. George; a stepdaughter, Katrina Knapp (Rick); two grandchildren, Trinity Knapp, and Tessa King; three siblings, Robert "Ted" Zurn, Jr. (Wendy), Larry Zurn (Mary Anne), and Natalie Simmer (Allen); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to attend a Gathering at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Sunday, February 24th from 2 to 5 pm.
