Mirella Odesteanu Obituary (1940 - 2022)

Mirella Odesteanu, dedicated mother and friend of many, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the age of 82 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Mirella was born in Romania, and lived most of her life in Romania. She graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy of Cluj Napoca, Romania and later moved to Baia Mare, where she spent most of her life. While in college, she met the love of her life, Ioan Alexandru Odesteanu, and they spent together 43 years. As they build their family together, they welcomed one daughter together, Ioana, in 1967. Through the years, Mirella enjoyed working, reading and shopping with her daughter and friends. She loved telling and listening to jokes with family and friends. She always knew how to make others laugh, cheerful and full of life. She was the bedrock of the family, always a fighter no matter how many challenges and obstacles existed in her life After the passing of her beloved husband, she decided to leave everything behind and moved to US to spend time with her daughter and son-in-law. There she enjoyed her last 15 years and her pursuit of becoming US citizen. Mirella is survived by her daughter, Ioana, and son-in-law, Ovidiu. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday, October 21st, from noon until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm.
