Michael T. “Mickey” Bartlett Obituary (1955 - 2023)

Michael T. "Mickey" Bartlett, age 68, of Lawrence Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia on September 28, 1955, son of the late Theodore and Roseann (Williams) Bartlett. Mickey was a 1973 graduate of Iroquois High School. Following high school, he was employed with Thermoclad, then Hammermill. Mickey earned an associate degree in IT and went on to work for Rent-Way, Presque Isle Downs & Casino, and eventually retired from UPMC Hamot. Mickey coached soccer for EYSA, wrestling at the Iroquois School District, and also Lawrence Park Little League baseball and softball, where he served as the president, and was also a member of the Iroquois Sports Boosters. Mickey helped organize the Chip-n-Chug Golf Tournament and was a diehard Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing flag football and slo-pitch softball and traveling to Williamsport for the Little League World Series. He was a skilled photographer and enjoyed sharing his pictures on Facebook. Most of all, he loved coaching and watching Jason and Karey play sports. Mickey is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda (Chilcott) Bartlett; two children: Jason Bartlett and Karey (Mike) Quinn; brothers: Keith (Sue) and Ted Bartlett; sisters: Sandy Battaglia, Terry Bartlett, and Helyn (Ken) Renaud; grandchildren: Lucas, Lyla, and Layne Quinn; mother-in-law, Rosemarie Chilcott; in-laws: Dick Chilcott, Karen Barringer, Debbie Bennett (Ken), Mez Chilcott, Doug Chilcott, and Sue Bartlett; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Bartlett, and a brother, Corey Bartlett. Mickey's family would like to thank extended family and friends for the devoted care given over the last nine months. Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek) on Tuesday, December 12th, from 3 PM until the time of a prayer service there at 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Chosen Mission Project.
