Mary Elizabeth Stewart

Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Stewart, age 78, of Girard, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021. She was born in Erie on February 7, 1943, daughter of the late Walter and Bernadine Goodman.

Beth was a graduate of Lawrence Park High School. She was very gifted as a seamstress and made many of her family's dresses and costumes. She enjoyed arranging flowers and centerpieces and was a rep for Home Interior Parties. Beth's great joy was time spent with her family.

Beth is survived by four children, Lisa Stewart, Wendy Amsdell (Steven), John Stewart (Jennifer), and Tisha DeVeaux (Paul Bryant); three siblings, Joann Ryan (Frederick), James Goodman (Martha), and Helen Kay Campbell (Roy); five grandchildren, Ben Stewart, Megan Amsdell, Sam "Turk" Stewart, John Murray, and Jameson Murray; one brother-in-law, Fred Murzynski; one sister-in-law, Patricia Mele; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralston "Butch" Stewart, who died on April 27, 2021; two brothers, George and Richard Goodman; and one sister, Charlene Murzynski.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm. A private interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
