Mary Alice Oaks

Mary Alice Oaks, age 78, of Harborcreek, passed away on January 12, 2021 at LECOM Senior Living. She was born in Erie on September 13, 1942, daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Wykoff.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Erie and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, watching Lifetime movies and working on her computer. Mary loved time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching church on television.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel C. Oaks; her grandson Sgt. Donald Samuel Oaks, Jr.; and sister, Peggy Gaerttner. She is survived by one son, Donald S. Oaks, Sr.; one sister, Doris Perry; three brothers, John Willey, and Donald and Robert Wykoff; one granddaughter, Amber Lynn Oaks (Vincent Pegher); three great-grandchildren, Kyla, Shaina, and Camille; and nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery on Friday at 11 am conducted by Rev. David Roach. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
