Mary M. Cowser

Mary M. Cowser, age 93, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born in Clarion, PA on March 3, 1923, daughter of the late Claude and Bertha Culmer.

Mary was a member of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church. She was employed at K-Mart in the credit and lay-away department prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Eastside YMCA and the Siebenbuerger Club Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, doing embroidery, and bowling in the Friday Night Women's League.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Cowser; sister, Evana Wood, and brother, Charles Culmer. Survivors include her four children, John Cowser, Thomas Cowser (Nancy), Robert Cowser (Amanda), and Kenneth Cowser (Tammy); brother, Carl Culmer (Rose Marie); five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 10 am conducted by Rev. Keith McGarvey. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
