Leslie Illig Obituary (1945 - 2025)

Leslie Leon Illig, age 80, of Erie, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born in Erie on October 9, 1945, son of the late George and Irene Illig. Les was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He first worked at Al’s Awning, Firch’s Bakery and then General Electric for 30 years prior to his retirement. Les is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Illig; two children, Daniel Illig (Tracy) and Cynthia Pflueger (Jason); one sister, Salli McClemons (Tom); five grandchildren, Matthew Duke (Janine) and Raleigh, Bailey, Delaney and Cooper Illig; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Illig; one brother, Kenneth Illig; and two sisters, Joyce Quadri and Mary Finnazzo. At the family’s request, a private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
