Leo Jefferson Miller

Leo Jefferson Miller, age 79, of Erie, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was born in Erie on March 27, 1944, son of the late Leo Jefferson and Pearl Olive Miller.

Leo was a veteran of the US Navy Reserves and worked for General Electric for 34 years, retiring from the engineering test maintenance department. He was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, where he served on various committees. Leo was also a Lay Minister and volunteered with the Soup Kitchen. He was a member of the Tyrian Commonwealth Lodge # 362 F. & A.M. Leo enjoyed serving as a volunteer with the Crawford/Erie County State Police. He had a love of traveling across the country in the R.V. with his family. Periodically, he also liked a good game of golf.

Leo is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Miller; one son, Nicholas Miller (Kimberly); three daughters, Jill Faulkner, Wendi Fox (Michael) and Holli Massaro; three brothers, Michael Miller (Tom), Phillip Miller (Karen) and Ronald Miller (Linda); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Stadler.

Family and friends may call at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 4701 Old French Rd, Erie, PA 16509, on Thursday, August 10th from 2 to 6 pm and are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Leo there on Friday, August 11th at 11 am conducted by Pastor Sarah Brock. His inurnment will follow at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church or Emmaus Ministries Soup Kitchen, 345 East 9th Street, Erie, PA 16503. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
