Katherine Joyce Murdoch

Katherine Joyce Murdoch, age 72, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019. She was born in Oswego, NY on August 1, 1946, daughter of the late Elmer Benn and Norma Silky.

Katherine worked as an order operator at Blair and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bread of Life Community, where she belonged to the Prayer Team. She was also a member of Cursillo #137 and the Secular Franciscan Order of St. Peter Cathedral. Katherine enjoyed volunteering with the Healing Prayer Team and with Fr. Pete at the Maria House Project.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Murdoch. She is survived by several close friends, especially Lynn Eisert-Haskins and Carol Kaufman.

Friends may call at the at the St. Joseph Church, Bread of Life Community, 147 West 24th Street on Thursday from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 am, celebrated by Fr. Larry Richards. Interment will follow at Springfield Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to The Maria House Project, 1218 French Street, Erie, PA 16501
