Julie M. Finke

Julie M. Finke, age 73, of Harborcreek, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. She was born in Erie on February 15, 1949, daughter of the late Quintin and Bernadette Shumac.

Julie was a graduate of Harbor Creek High School. She first worked at Loblaws, General Electric and Iron Age Shoe Store, and then became a full-time homemaker. Julie enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and RV camping with her husband. She treasured her grandchildren and time spent with her dogs, Muffin, Stormy and Harley.

Julie is survived by two children, Christina "Tina" Powell (Michael) and Richard "Dickie" Finke; five grandchildren, Joshua (Alaina), Joseph, Jordyn, Jace and Jesse Powell; six sisters, Linda Brown, Nancy Froess, Karen Whittington (Larry), Pamela Shumac, Kathy Baughman (Paul), and Sally Rastatter (Peter); seven brothers, Leonard, Timothy, Daniel (Diane), John (Susan), Michael (Kathleen), Mark (Robin), and Charles Shumac; one great-grandchild soon to be; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dickie" Finke.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 2635 Buffalo Road on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
