Joseph Malina

Joseph Malina, age 87, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie on May 25, 1935, son of the late Ralph, Sr., and Margaret (Daniels) Malina.
Joe was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Marine Corps. He was employed with Reed Manufacturing in the Tool Room, retiring in 2014 after 51 years. Joe enjoyed golfing with his brother and loved hunting with his son. Joe's favorite pastime was working in his yard and spending time with his family.
Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joann Mae (Shank) Malina; five children: Brenda Abramoski (Brion), Lori Malina, Sheri Sutton (Donnie), Lisa Fife (Bill) and Joe Malina (Leslie); three brothers: Ralph, Jr. (Sally), Donald (Marilyn), and Tony (Jan) Malina; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by sister, Clara Mittner; and brother, Bobby Malina.
Private services have been entrusted to the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Harborcreek. Joe will be laid to rest at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 5414 E Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16511.
