John K. Zeiber Jr

John K. Zeiber, Jr., age 66, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in Erie on November 24, 1955, son of the late John and Elizabeth Zeiber.

John was a 1974 graduate of Academy High School and continued his education at Triangle Tech. He had worked with his father in the construction field and then he worked as head of maintenance at the Erie Airport. John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, the outdoors, fishing, and going on walks around Perry Square. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren, and gave the best hugs.

John is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Harpster (Matt) and Jamie Bartlett (Mark); one sister, Pam Zeiber McDonald (Ed); one brother, Joe Zeiber (Marlene); five grandchildren, Logan, Mason, Maddy, Livia, and Zoey; ex-wife, Susan Zeiber; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Zeiber; and a nephew, Jason Filipowski.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, 509 East 26th Street, on Friday, January 7, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie City Mission, 1023 French Street, Erie, PA 16501.
