John E. Ochrang

John E. Ochrang, age 73, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. He was born in Erie on October 4, 1953, son of the late Michael and Dorothy Foster Ochrang.

John worked at Riley-Stoker Corp, maintenance at the Millcreek Mall and also at Sports Obsession. He was a die-hard NASCAR fan and loved his dog, Chase. John was a loving, caring person with an amazing heart who would do anything for anybody.

John is survived by one sister, Dorothy Baker (Doug); one brother, James Ochrang; a dear friend, Rob Johnson, who was like a son to him; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dave, Michael and Kenneth Ochrang, Elizabeth Balter, Margaret Goetz, Barbara Pliett and Karen Ochrang.
