John J. Morettini

John J. Morettini, age 66, of Harborcreek, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on July 18, 1952.

John's career was as a semi-truck driver, and he enjoyed all the over the road trips to the 48 continental states. He loved riding his Harley and participating in Roar on the Shore. With the weekend being his birthday, he teased that the parade was for him. John loved time with his family and his fuzzy dogs, Marshall and Tucker. He was a member of St. James R.C. Church.

John is survived by his wife, Sharon, with whom he has been together for 48 years; his children, John G. Morettini (Kristine) and Casie Morettini; granddaughter, Kaitlyn; his father, Joseph Morettini; his brother, Anthony Morettini (Kitty) and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Morettini, and his sister, Eve Rogers.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Wednesday at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church at 10 am. Private interment will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Erie City Mission, 1023 French Street, Erie, PA 16501.
