John C. Kowle

John “The Mule” Kowle, born in Erie on December 20, 1944 to Isabel and John Kowle, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 3, 2026 with his daughter, Michelle and Scott, by his side, who were his caregivers for the last four years.

John was known by many as a “Jack of All Trades”. If you needed something fixed, he was the one to call. John will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a member of the Lakeview Mennonite Church in North East, PA for 11 years, where he formed many friendships.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and John; his son, John; his daughter, Sherry; his brother, Arnie; and his sister, Arlene. John is survived by a sister, Sue; his children, Michelle Kightlinger (Scott), Duke (Sherrie) and Kassie Ramirez (Emileo); eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday, October 6th, from noon until the time of the Commemorative Service there at 1 pm, conducted by Pastor Stanley Martin.
