Janice M. Evans Obituary (1950 - 2022)

Janice M. Evans, age 71, of Millcreek, was lovingly surround by her family when she passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 following a short illness. She was born in Erie on October 7, 1950, daughter of the late William and Marian Evans. Janice enjoyed cooking and traveling. She loved to volunteer and was a great caregiver to cats, especially her cat, Libby. Over the years, Janice lived in several states including California, where she owned a retail store in Carmel. She returned home to Erie four years ago. Janice is survived by one brother, Jim Evans; four sisters, Barbara Thoreson (George), Marcia Lynch, Joyce Evans and Beverly Chrapowicz; nieces and nephews, Damien (Hannah) and Jacob (Julie) Lynch, Greg, Katie, and Cindy Thoreson, Sarah Buettner (Nick) and Joe Chrapowicz (Jessica); and numerous great- nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Evans; and one niece, Jessica Lynch. Friends are invited to attend a gathering at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 5 pm until the time of the Memorial Service there at 6 pm conducted by Deacon Chuck Adamczyk.
