Hedwig D. "Fefe" Gromacki Obituary (1929 - 2018)

Hedwig D. "Fefe" Gromacki, age 88, of Summit Twp., passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 10, 2018, following a short illness. She was born in Erie on November 11, 1929, daughter of the last Michael and Sophia Cywinski Sobolewski. Hedy first worked at Coyne Laundry and then Kaufman's, prior to retirement. She was a gifted seamstress, enjoying making outfits for her family. Hedy is survived by three children, Paul Gromacki (Wendy), David Gromacki, and Aprill Blackford (James); one sister, Clara Bruno; six grandchildren, Katie Broskey (Matt), Rebecca and Andrew Gromacki, Tabatha, Jason and Jimmy Blackford (Santana); four great grandchildren, Angela Sciarrino, Addison Broskey, Cheyanne Conner and Colin Blackford, and a baby Blackford soon to be born; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Gromacki, and six sisters, Jean, Gladys, Mary, Sally, Helen and Theresa. No calling hours will be observed. The Dusckas Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Rd, is handling private arrangements.
