Harold David "Chuck" Burkett Obituary (1971 - 2024)

Harold David "Chuck" Burkett, age 52, of Greenfield Twp., passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born in Erie on July 28, 1971, son of Norine Gowen Burkett and the late David "Chief" Burkett. Chuck was a graduate of East High School. He was employed by Welch's for many years, where he served as chief union steward. As an avid Steelers, Pirates, and Pens fan, he ran a Facebook page called Steeltown Sports. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also played guitar and enjoyed his Camaros. In addition to his mother, Chuck is survived by his wife of 25 years, together for 32 years, Stephanie Ann Mullen Burkett; two children: Kayla Trapp (Matthew) and David Burkett (Jordan Teribery); sister, Cherie Peters (Dale); grandchildren: Colton, Brayden, and Sammy; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd.) on Thursday, March 28th, from 2 to 6 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29th. Guests are encouraged to wear their Pittsburgh attire to both.
