Gust H. Argerus Obituary (1956 - 2021)

Gust H. Argerus, age 65, of Erie, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. He was born in Hammond, IN on May 13, 1956, son of the late Gust and Lucy Argerus. Gust was retired from Citizens Bank in the I.T. Department as an I.T. Specialist. As an adult, he graduated from Mercyhurst University in Computer Science. Before working at the bank, one of Gust's favorite jobs was as a Security Guard at the Erie Zoo. He was a member of Perry Keystone Lodge #392, Scottish Rite Consistory Valley of Erie, the Erepa Grotto and the Zem Zem Shrine. Gust was also an active member of the Northwest Pennsylvania K-9 Search and Rescue Team and was a K-9 handler. He loved and treasured his dogs, Chance and Pandora. He was a veteran of the US Marines and had played hockey with the Erie Adult Hockey League. He had previously coached the Erie Youth Hockey League. In addition to his parents, Gust was preceded in death by his wife, Michele Argerus. He is survived by one brother, John Argerus; one sister, Jackie Bartlett; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 pm.
