Gertrude E. Mioduszewski

Gertrude E. Mioduszewski, age 100, of Wesleyville, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was born in Erie on December 31, 1925, daughter of the late Stanley and Louise Rutkowski.

Gert was a 1944 graduate of Academy High School. She was a secretary at various businesses and was then a secretary for 30 years for Attorney Richard Levick at Knox Law Firm. Upon retirement, Gert spent her time working in her garden, often giving plants and flowers to anyone who admired them. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how to garden. She was also an excellent seamstress, creating hundreds of American Girl Doll dresses for her grandchildren. Gert was an active member of St. James R.C. Church and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Senior Center taking part in the exercises and activities. Gert’s daughter, Judy, lived with her for many years and they enjoyed many outings together.

Gert is survived by two daughters, Judith Mioduszewski and Barbara Priestap (Michael); five grandchildren, Sarah Porter (Jeffrey), Lauren Linthicum-Priestap (Ross), Caroline Van Matre (David), John Mioduszewski (Caitlin) and Kathryn Mioduszewski; nine great-grandchildren, Ada, Noah, Solomon, Lila, Hope, Moses, Jesse, Gio and Mio; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gert was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Mioduszewski; one son, Mark Mioduszewski; and four siblings.
