Eugene M. Palombi Sr Obituary (1938 - 2023)

Eugene M. "Geno" Palombi, Sr., age 84, of Millcreek, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was born in Erie on October 2, 1938, son of the late Mario and Mary Palombi. Eugene was a graduate of Academy High School and worked at General Electric Co. until his retirement in 2000. Following that, he was the assistant manager of the Sunflower Club until 2020. Eugene was a member of the Sunflower Club, South Erie Turners, the Siebenbuerger Club, VFW Post 470, and the Sportsman Club. He was a veteran of the US Army. Eugene enjoyed bowling with mixed leagues and the Grandpa's League. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, Boston Celtics and NASCAR. Over the years, Eugene enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City with his wife, family and friends. He especially loved time spent with his grandchildren. Eugene is survived by five children, Dale Wollan (Sandy), Venessa Cochran (Chuck), Patti Schaefer (Joseph), Mary Zukowski (Joe) and Eugene Palombi, Jr. (Angie); one brother, Ronald Palombi, Sr.; one sister, Grace Watson; one sister-in-law, Dolores Smith; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Palombi; his sisters, twins, Rose and Theresa Palombi; brother, Gregory Palombi; and his extended family whom he loved dearly. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 11 am conducted by Right Rev.
