Elizabeth A. Dolan

Elizabeth A. "Beth" Dolan, age 79, of Harborcreek, passed away Saturday, July 14 2018 at the Brevillier Village. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on December 3, 1938, daughter of the late Emmett and Margaret Hayes.

Beth was a graduate of Academy High School and then received a degree in Music Education from Mansfield College. She received a Master's in Elementary Education from Edinboro College. Beth was a teacher with the Iroquois School District for 33 years prior to her retirement.

Beth and her husband, Boyd, enjoyed playing flute and piano at the Erie Playhouse and the Peninsula Dinner Theater, and skated with their children in shows with the Westminster Figure Skating Club.

Following retirement, Beth and Boyd lived in Florida for 28 years, returning to Erie in 2017. While in Florida, Beth played flute in the Ocala Community Band. Beth and Boyd had a business called Silverwood, where Beth played flute and Boyd played harp for weddings and local community events.

Beth is survived by her husband of 59 years, Boyd Dolan; her children, Kerry Dolan (Sherri), Michael Dolan (Celinda) and Maura Dolan Hesch (Ricky); her grandchildren, Kasey Dolan (Amanda Gardner), Katey Dolan McGill (Andy), Emily Hesch, Nicholas Hesch, Phillip Hesch, Kiera Dolan and Eliana Dolan; and her great-grandchildren, Connor and Kylie McGill.

Friends will be received at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm. In Beth's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Playhouse, 13 W. 10th St., Erie PA 16501.
