Wattsburg, Pennsylvania
Douglas B. Willey, age 73, of Wattsburg, PA., passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. He was born on July 4, 1951, a son of the late Farren and Beatrice Hall Willey.
Doug was a 1969 graduate of General McClane High School. He then went on to work at G.E., retiring in 2009 after 39 years. Doug was an avid car guy, whether it was restoring one or just working on them. He built his own 1968 Plymouth Barracuda from scratch, and was in the process of restoring a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda with friends when he passed away.
Doug was a jack of all trades. There were few things he couldn’t do or at least be willing to attempt them and usually succeeding. He was a caring, private man. Most of all, Doug loved spending time with his family. He was the most unselfish man when it came to those he loved, even as he took on the role of caregiver for both his parents.
He was always there for them. He also had a very loving relationship with his daughter-in-law, Michelle. Doug is known to those closest to him as D Dubs, a nickname that was bestowed upon him by Michelle.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Michelle Geddes Willey.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Christine Laughlin Willey; son, Brent Willey of Sarasota along with his two dogs, Grady and Willis; daughter, Meredith (Robert) Woolman of Delaware OH., and their children, Madelyn and Reid Woolman; brother, Brent A. (Mari) Willey of Boonton, NJ.; and a sister, Karen L. Willey (Gary Gross) of Edinboro, PA.
