Douglas Paul Shields

Douglas Paul Shields, age 64, of Erie, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was born in Erie on February 17, 1957, son of the late Paul Shields and Cora Almeda Shields.

Douglas enjoyed golfing and hunting. He worked for Browning Ferris Industries and then Waste Industries for many years until his retirement.

He leaves behind his daughter, Tiffany Taylar Shields of Jacksonville NC; his son, Justin Douglas Shields and his wife, Heaven Lea Shields also of Jacksonville NC; three brothers, Todd Shields and his wife, Cindy, Bruce Shields and his wife, Desaree all of Erie, and Edward Shields and his wife, Karrie of Edinboro; one sister, Paula Winafeld of Canton OH; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A private Memorial Service will be held for the family at a later date. Memorials may be made in Douglas' name to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
