Doris M. Druzak Obituary (1930 - 2023)

Doris M. Druzak, age 92, of Erie, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at LECOM at Presque Isle. She was born in Erie on September 29, 1930, daughter of the late Fredrick and Margaret Goetz. Doris was raised a Roman Catholic and was a 1948 graduate of Academy High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Druzak, Jr. (Jashu Draszkiewicz), in 2011. Married as teenagers, the couple had a long and fruitful life together, and she missed him every day after his death. After raising her children, Doris was retired from General Electric. During her life, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gambling, boating, crocheting, and other arts and crafts. Doris is survived by three children, daughters, Joanne Druzak of Erie, PA and Patricia Druzak Wallace (Robert) of Oak Ridge, TN; son, Michael Druzak (Laurie) of Erie, PA; three grandchildren, Steven Druzak (Hope), Tyler Thackray, and Jordan Druzak (Genna); six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Wesley, Mackenzie, Riley, Violet, and Griffin. She is also survived by one sister, Regina Goetz Adamowicz; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by three sisters, Donna Goetz Firster, Rose Goetz Cooley, and Mary Lou Dunlap Isaacks. Doris was the strong and loving matriarch of our Druzak family and will be sorely missed. She is on to the next journey with her beloved Jashu. Per Doris' wishes, there will be no visitation.
