DonnaLee graduated from Detrich High School in 1949 and promptly hopped a train to the big city of Erie, PA to live with her uncle, Dr. Alva Scott. She attended Villa Maria College and upon graduation, began her career at General Electric in a variety of office positions.
Always busy and full of energy, DonnaLee raised a family, picked and tied grapes, had an enormous garden, taught sewing for 4-H and later became one of the most avid quilters in the tri-state area.
