Deborah I. Hurley

Deborah I. Hurley, age 72, of Erie, passed away at her home lovingly surrounded by her family on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born in Erie on September 26, 1950, daughter of the late Clarence and Shirley Ames.

Debbie attended Strong Vincent High School and worked as a housekeeper in many private homes in the area. She bowled over the years in the women's league and the Saturday Night Mixed Nuts league with her family at Eastway Lanes. Debbie enjoyed camping with her family, watching nature in her backyard and was a fan of game shows. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Timothy Hurley; three children, William Kauffman (Brenda), Kimberly Kauffman and Troy Hurley; two stepchildren, Timothy Hurley Jr. (Dorothy) and Tracy Hedglin; two brothers, Clarence Ames and Joseph Ames (Lynne); one sister, Shirleen Wolfe (Butch); six grandchildren, Samantha, Chad, Zachary, Chelsea, Richie and Bryson; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Halicki; and one sister, Linda Dibello.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 4 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6:30 pm, conducted by Rev. David Edmunds. A private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TX 38101.
