Debby L. Mcgill Obituary (1955 - 2024)

Following an extended illness, on Friday, January 5, 2024, Debby L. McGill, age 68, passed away at home surrounded by friends and family. Debby was born in Erie, PA on April 23, 1955. She was the daughter of Norman Hulsinger and Johanne Bray. Debby was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Debby attended meetings at West Grandview Blvd as much as her health would allow. She wore many "hats" when it came to work. Together, she and her husband owned Julio's family restaurant. She was also a Certified Nurses' Aide, and she sold Contempo and Avon, but anyone who knew Debby knew her true love and passion was being a mother, caretaker, and nurturer. Debby was known for her kind, tender, loving demeanor, generous hospitality, and forgiving nature. She was devoted to her family and always put others first. It didn't matter what Debby did, she put her whole heart into it. Debby found peace while going on long drives or sitting by the water. She profoundly enjoyed nature. She was an avid reader and had a great, sometimes twisted, sense of humor. She loved the occasional scary movie, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy or Judge Judy. Debby is survived by her husband, William A. McGill Jr.; and four children, William E. McGill, Luke A. McGill (Heather), Leah M. Kaday (Jason), and Rhonda J. Engels (Joshua); legal guardian of two children, Rebecca L. Stafford (Joe) and Earl Brown (Jessica); one sister, Suzanne Lanich; three brothers, Michael Hulsinger, James Hulsinger, and Bobby Kirsch; her mother, Johanne Bray; as well as twelve grandchildren. Debby was preceded in death by one son, Samuel J. McGill; one guardian son, A.J. Brown; two infant children; two brothers, Norman Hulsinger and Johnny Hulsinger; and one sister, Jolene Byler. At the family's request, private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
