Cynthia Marie O'Shea Volski Obituary (1924 - 2017)

Cynthia Marie O'Shea Volski, age 92, of Erie entered into her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Erie on August 1, 1924 to the late Robert and Stella O'Shea. She graduated from Academy High School in 1942. Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vincent Volski, Sr.; her sisters, Jeanne Glas and Stella Ambrose; and her brothers, Gaylord, Joseph, Robert, and Billy. She is survived by her devoted children, Robert Vincent, Jr. (Kathy) of Cape Coral, FL, Karen Ward (Steve) of Mobile, AL, and Kimberly Volski of Erie. She was adored by her five grandsons, Stephen and Joshua Ward of Mobile, AL, Brian Ward of Albany, OR, Robert Volski (Mary) of Washington, D.C., and Matthew Volski of Cape Coral, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Cynthia was employed at the Erie Resistor and later on at Marx Toys. When her daughters were young, she volunteered with the Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was also active in the PTA. Cynthia and her husband, "Butts", were long time members of Gospel Hill Golf Course and enjoyed playing rounds of golf around the area too. Always willing to help others, Cynthia volunteered at the Wesleyville Interfaith Food Pantry. She eventually helped manage the pantry's distribution. Cynthia attended Erie First Assembly of God and delighted in taking part in Bible studies and worshipping Jesus our Lord. Cynthia will be so greatly missed and will always be remembered for her loving and forgiving heart, patience, strength and thankfulness. Thank you, Mom, for your wonderful gift of faith. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Home East for their tender loving care during Cynthia's short stay there. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 2 pm conducted by Rev.
