Connie "Mrs. Zee" Zarzeczny Obituary (1939 - 2017)

Connie "Mrs. Zee" Zarzeczny, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born in Oil City, PA, in 1939, daughter of the late Jerome and Fannie Cangemi. Connie graduated from Franklin High School and went on to work at Joy Manufacturing. Once she married her true love, Julius, she threw her energies into raising her eight children and opened her home to all neighboring kids. Her kitchen was never closed. After years of working at Ponderosa, Connie enjoyed golfing, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed vacations with her kids, her trips to the casino and her many outings with her family and friends. She was constantly making everyone laugh with her classic "Connie moments". She was a member of St. James R.C. Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a loving wife, an amazing mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; and her brother, Marc Cangemi. Connie is survived by her sister, Neva Ruditis; eight children, Karen Wyzykowski (Dave), Kevin, Darryl, Linda, Craig (Donnalyn) Zarzeczny, Charlene Johnson (Joe), Ann Mudry (Bill) and Judene O'Connor (Tim); 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Joey, Lindsay, Troy, Nicole, Angelina, Olivia, Victor, Clare, Sophia and Archer; four great-grandchildren, Rylynn, Jace, Dominic and Isabella; three step-grandchildren, Ryann, Erica and Helena; and many nieces and nephews. Our beautiful mother will leave us rich in memories of her inspirational faith, strength and love. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Monday at 10 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. James R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated to St. James R.C. Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510.
