Chris Alan Taccone, lovingly known as "Pooh", passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. Born with Down Syndrome on June 19, 1953 in Erie, PA, Chris was the son of the late Arthur Robert "Bob" and Dolores Theresa "Mum"/"Grandma" Taccone. He lived 66 years at the family home on Irene Dr. with his parents and six siblings.
As a young man, Chris attended a special needs school and later the Gertrude Barber Center. Chris' many passions included riding his bike (hands off the bars, feet off the pedals) up and down Irene Dr. and Cumberland Rd., playing his guitar and singing, bowling, boating, putt-putt golf, fishing, martial arts, coloring, raking leaves, vacuuming, dancing, watching John Wayne movies and listening to Elvis. Chris had the gift of gab and loved to entertain. If you weren't paying attention to one of his never-ending stories he bluntly said, "hey you! I'm talking to you". Never afraid to set you straight, he'd always tell you if you needed a haircut, not to swear, and remind you of your table manners. Some of his proudest moments were participating in the Special Olympics, bowling league, and Kung Fu. Above all else, Chris' true talent was bringing out the best in people. If you ever experienced his smile, you were truly lucky.
