Brian K. Scott

Brian K. Scott, 55, of Erie, passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, after a two year battle with cancer.
He was born in Erie on October 7, 1962, the son of Joanne and Deane Scott of Harborcreek. He lived in Waterford until his senior year in high school, when the family moved to Harborcreek. He graduated from Harbor Creek High School in 1981, and from Penn State Behrend in 1985, earning a degree in Business Administration. He then began a successful career as a highly respected retail manager. For the past several years, until September, he worked as store manager at Walgreens on Buffalo Road.
Brian was a very kind, considerate and loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had always made himself available, and was willing to lend a helping hand. Brian loved all sports, especially golf with his buddies. If the sport involved a round ball, Brian played it.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Linda, married 30 years, and sons, Nicholas Scott and Ryan Scott. He is further survived by his two sisters, Shelley Caldwell (Mark) of Florida and Erin Bentley (Jim) of Waterford, as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Harborcreek, 6724 Buffalo Rd., with Pastor Robin Cuneo presiding. The family will greet friends for one hour before the service, beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
