Anita F. Moore

Anita F. Crowe Moore, age 52, of Lawrence Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born in Johnsonburg, PA on Sept. 15, 1964, a daughter of John Crowe and the late Brenda Simchick Crowe.
Anita was a 1981 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. She earned a B.S. degree in English for Secondary Education from Edinboro University. Anita was an English teacher at North East High School for 28 years. During her tenure at NEHS, she served as faculty advisor to the Aquilo (high school year book) and the National Honor Society. Anita also served as a coach for Odyssey of the Mind student competition. She was a life-long learner, enjoyed tennis and especially loved reading by the ocean. Anita had a wonderful and witty sense of humor which she used as an M.C. at JR's Last Laugh Comedy Club. She will be lovingly remembered by her colleagues and former students for her passion and devotion.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, William J. Moore and his wife, Joan.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 31 years, William J. "Bill" Moore; her daughter, Kelly Moore; one sister, Colleen Herzing (Luke); one brother, Jay Crowe (Tracy); her mother-in-law, Carol Allman; two sisters-in-law: Kim Sweeney and Beth Branscum (Tim); one brother-in-law, Tim Allman (Donna); her beloved "boys": Pip and Franklin; a dear family friend, Phil Sarver and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek) on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral service to be conducted there at 8 p.m. by Rev.
