Anibal Gotay-Rodriguez Obituary (1932 - 2018)

Anibal Gotay-Rodriguez, age 85, of Erie, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 30, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico on January 23, 1932, the son of the late Eugenio and Catalina Rodriguez Gotay. Anibal enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He retired from Zurn Industries. Anibal was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Candida M. Cruz; his children, Al Rodriguez (Tina) and Anibal "J.R." Rodriguez; three grandchildren, Jesse Rodriguez (Caitlynne), Christopher Rodriguez (Cheyenne) and Ashley Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Lily, Layden, Teilo and Kacto; two brothers and two sisters; several brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 536 W. 10th Street, on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
