Anamae M. Murzynski Obituary (1937 - 2018)

Anamae M. Murzynski, age 80, of St. James Manor, formerly of Hess Ave., passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on September 13, 1937, daughter of the late Raymond and Bernella George. Anamae was a gifted cake decorator and baker for 50 years, retiring from Quality Market. She enjoyed doing crafts, flower arranging, and was active at the community center at St. James Manor where she liked to play cards with her friends. She was formerly a Girl Scout and Boy Scout troop leader. A mother to everyone in the neighborhood, Anamae volunteered at the Anthony Wayne Baseball field with her children's sports. Anamae is survived by five children, Michael (Sherry), Patrick (Crystal), David (Nancy) Murzynski, Kathleen Kupniewski (Chris) and Jenny Wilczynski (Matt); two brothers, Raymond and John George (Jean); special friend, Freddy "Fritz" Murzynski; 12 grandchildren, Jacqui Kramer, Michael, Micki, Zach, Patrick, and David Murzynski, Christopher and Jessica Kupniewski, Rebecca Miller, Annie Schodt, Kaitlyn and Gabrielle Wilczynski; 13 great-grandchildren, Owen, Asher, Scarlett, Ace, Quinn, Emily, Nolan, Matthew, Grace, Alex, Addison, Morgan and Elijah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Murzynski; and an infant son, Leonard. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Saturday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. James R.C. Church. Private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
