Americo Anthony Cipolla Obituary (1933 - 2015)

Americo Anthony (Tony) Cipolla died on January 13, 2015. He was born on September 14, 1933, son of Carmela and Frank Cipolla. Besides his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a child sister Doris Filomena, brother Nicholas, and beloved niece Sherry. Survivors include his sister Doris T. Cipolla; sister-in-law Nancy (Valvo) Cipolla; a niece Patricia and nephews: Frank (Valerie), Joseph and Eric. Tony is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Rachael (son Xavier), Nick, Angela, Lindsey, and Alex. During the Korean War Tony was stationed in Germany where he served with the US military from 1954 to 1956. After returning from the service, his entrepreneurial talents took him from teaching ballroom dancing to establishing Certified Carpet Company which he operated for many years until his interest in animals led him to open the Sea Cave which he managed until his retirement in 1999. Tony enjoyed cooking, boating, creating egg artistry, and making hand soap and creams. He loved animals and he had a passion for travel. Tony was fun loving and adventurous and will be missed by all who knew him. There will be a memorial service at Mount St. Benedict Monastery, 6101 East Lake Road, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18.
