Alice Irene Niebauer Daub

Alice Irene Niebauer Daub, age 73, of North East, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026. She was born in Erie on June 2, 1953, daughter of the late Gilbert John and Irene Alice Gerbik Niebauer.

Alice had been employed at the Alpine Manor, Elmwood Presbyterian Lodge and Millcreek Intermediate School. She was a member and officer of the Lads and Lassies Square Dance Club and a member of the Knights and Ladies of St. Patrick. Alice enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting and loved her dogs. She treasured time spent with her family and volunteered for the Bishop’s Breakfast and the St. Martin Food Pantry. She managed St. Patrick’s gift shop for over 15 years.

Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Murray Daub, whom she married on August 24, 1974; two children, Michael David Daub and Jennifer Marie Daub Ashbaugh (Jason); four sisters, Margaret Crosby (Richard), Diane Niebauer, Rebecca Delavern (William) and Andrea Kilroy (Edward); one brother, Anthony Niebauer (Tammy); one sister-in-law, Diane Rutkowski; two grandchildren, Ethan Alexander Ashbaugh and Thaddeus Alan Ashbaugh; and special friends, Dorothy Martinez and Susan Tenney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Niebauer; and one nephew, Matthew David Niebauer.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, 130 East 4th Street, on Saturday, October 10th at 10 am.
